Wedding bells are ringing for 30 Rock and Glee actor Cheyenne Jackson, who wed entrepreneur Jason Landau on Saturday evening.
"This means a new beginning for us," Jackson tells PEOPLE exclusively of their happy day. "It was love at first sight and this is just the culmination of that."
The pair exchanged vows and rings during an interfaith ceremony (Landau is Jewish) outdoors at a friend's estate in Encino, California. Jackson, 39, wore a black Calvin Klein tux while Landau rocked John Varvatos.
Among the 200 guests there to wish the couple well were friends and fellow actors Jane Lynch, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Leah Remini and Alicia Silverstone.
The ceremony and reception, produced by 1540 productions, was a mixture of nature and elegance. "I'm from Idaho," says Jackson, "So I wanted everything to feel very woodsy." Adds Landau excitedly, "There were branches of trees hovering over the tennis court we're on with over 100 mini chandeliers draping the entire party. It was gorgeous."
And it was meaningful. The ceremony took an emotional turn when both grooms' mothers came to the altar to give their sons kisses on the cheek, symbolizing that they've been given away to one another
.
This is Jackson's second marriage. The actor says he and Landau, who met last year in rehab for alcohol addiction and then announced their engagement in February, are made for one another. "We've both been through a lot in our lives," says Jackson, "We got sober together. Now we sing and we dance together. It blows my mind."
